Although they are eager to help you, they lack any REAL hands-on experience, and you have got only one shot to get this right. |

| Perhaps the Professor is a good choice. After all, he or she has a very impressive list of credentials, and they teach others how to become doctors. |

But ask them how many years they have been practicing, and how many surgeries they have actually performed and the number is surprisingly low. While coordinating the surgery is important, holding the instruments and performing the operation is an entirely different skill set and vital to achieving success. |

| No, what you want for your child (what you need), is a veteran, pediatric heart surgeon. A Specialist, that has more than just the right equipment. | How much do your services cost? |

Hiring a professional benefit auctioneer does not cost. It pays! Because every organization and event is different, it would be unfair to post a cookie-cutter figure and say, “Take it or Leave it”. Options vary and are always discussed at consultations. |

| Who will be our auctioneer? |

Jay. Period. End of sentence. Ok,…It is possible on the day of your event Jay might be bleeding from his eye sockets, in which case he has a plan. (By the way, its not the plumber) |

| Will you ask us to move our date, if a bigger event wants the same date? |

No. As a matter of fact, we won’t even suggest it! Once your date is locked in (with a non-refundable deposit) we will never bump you for someone else. |

| Will you help us determine starting bids for the silent auction items? |

| A consignment company has offered to provide… |

Stop right there! This sounds like a good idea on the surface. The problem is that the consignment company ends up receiving most of the proceeds from the sale of their items. This can be especially frustrating for donors (bidders) who want to help the cause, not the consignment company. This is rarely a win – win situation. |

| How often will you meet with us? |

Typically 4 to 5 times a year, but we will meet as often as it takes to get it right. Remember, you can call or e-mail us as often as you like. You are not bothering us. You are the reason we exist! |

| How far will you travel to do a benefit auction? |

The staff was mentioning the other day that we don’t do enough charity events in St. Lucia and Aruba. Regardless of where you are located, we are willing and able to help make your event successful. |

| What are good “live” auction items? |

Cars, Vacations and Trips, One-of-a-kind Dinners, Jewelry, “Heart String items”, Celebrity and Sports memorabilia, to name a few. Jay has sold special trips for over $19,000. At a private school fundraiser he sold a “pie a month” from a special alumnus for $5000. He once sold a Rubbermaid© Laundry Basket for $900. (It was a really nice laundry basket) Get creative! |
